Topics

• Pronunciation of the CONSONANT sounds of Standard North American English- with emphasis on TONGUE AND LIP PLACEMENT.

• Pronunciation of the VOWEL sounds of Standard North American English, with emphasis on LISTENING SKILLS.

• Which part of a word do you STRESS?

• SPEECH FLOW – How do you speak with flowing sentences? How do you link words together? Learn to use word stress and sentence rhythm for improved speech flow.

• Using INTONATION and EXPRESSION to get your true meaning across more clearly and powerfully, and keep your LISTENER’S ATTENTION.

• CONVERSATION and PRESENTATION GROUP PRACTICE= through fun exercises.

Progress Measurement – each student will have a detailed skills assessment with written feedback before and after the program.

Computerized Biofeedback

This course will be enhanced with the COMPUTERIZED SPEECH LAB, a specialized computer program which allows you to immediately see, hear, and compare your  speech patterns to that of a native North American speaker.
